Biographical or Historical Information
While the Carthage Women’s Club (or Carthage College Women’s Club) existed on the Carthage, IL campus, these records reflect the history of the Kenosha Carthage Women’s Club. The Kenosha chapter began in 1962 and dwindled out in the years between 1997 and 1999. Activities reflected in the minutes ceased about 1997, and in January of 1999 a note appears in the treasurer’s financial records book: “The end of an era of service to Carthage College. Books closed!”
The Club was comprised of “all women employees and wives of all employees of Carthage College.”
